From humble beginnings to a thriving community of faith, our journey has been shaped by devotion, resilience, and God’s unwavering grace. What started as a small gathering with a shared vision has grown into a vibrant church family rooted in worship, service, and love. Today, we stand as a testament to the faithfulness of those who came before us and the continued work of God among us, building on our legacy as we step confidently into the future.

1989

The Church of Praise, an Assemblies of God church, started an evangelistic outreach ministry to the Filipino community in Singapore.

The Church of Praise employed Pastors Sande and Lydia Wilson from the Philippines to lead the Filipino ministry. The church’s attendance increased from 10 to 500 members within seven years.

1997

Registered with the Singapore Registry of Societies (ROS) on January 13, 1997, as a sovereign church under a new name, “The Living Word Fellowship.” Also affiliated with the Assemblies of God in Singapore.

1997-2004

2005

TLWF installed Pastors Jerry and Gloria Madarang as their new pastors after the Wilsons migrated to the USA. The church moved from the SP Auditorium to the YWCA as her new place of worship.

2005-2022

Onwards

In 2017, TLWF moved to the Mapex Building in Jalan Pemimpin. TLWF continues to grow as they stay committed to God’s vision and mission for His Church: Loving God and Loving people!
